Connecting Seniors with Indigenous Culture Through Visits to Sacred Places Ancient Echoes Interpretive Centre

Date: Friday July 26, 2024

Time: 8 am to 4 pm [includes one and half hours travel time]

Join us for a trip to Ancient Echoes Interpretive Centre to learn about Indigenous History (petroglyphs, rock formations, effigies, archaeological dig, ceremonial circles, buffalo jump, food processing site, tool artifacts and pottery making displays).

Chartering out to site (Charlie’s Charters) Meeting point pickup by Charlie's Charters 8 am Blairmore Walmart

Arrival at Ancient Echoes 9:30 am

Tour 10-12pm

Two tours, one indoor and one outdoor [indoor option for less mobile people - hike is 2 hours]

Storyteller booked is David Neufeldt

Departure 2:30 pm

Arrival at Saskatoon 4 pm

Things to bring: bagged lunch, bug spray, hats, sunscreen, walking shoes, water bottles, excellent water is available there to fill and refill water bottles.

Join us for a trip to Batoche National Heritage Site. Journey back to 19th century Métis settler life on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, one hour north of Saskatoon.

 Chartering out to site (Charlie’s Charters) -Market Mall at 10 am, then Meeting point-Lawson Heights Mall at 10:30

 Arrival at Batoche 11:30 am

 Cafe is available or bring a bagged lunch
